  • A Note From Rose

Thank you for visiting, and checking out my work. I feel so privileged to be able to do what I love, and contribute to my client’s lives in a way that ties us as friends. I did not decide to become a photographer because I thought it would be a lucrative career path, I chose photography because it makes my heart sing. The emotion, the light, the story, it makes me feel like Christmas morning, and if you know me at all, you know how much I love Christmas. My love for my work is what challenges me to continually hone my skill, and keep discovering new ways to convey my heart through Photography. This is what I do. I would be honored to photograph your love, and become your friend. This blog is a place for me to post my latest work, share my thoughts, and connect with the world. Feel free to leave a comment if you've visited or enjoy my work. Cheers!

Spokane Photographer | The Past Few Weeks

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of excitement, stress, and joy all wrapped into one.  First one of my best friends got married.  It was the perfect wedding,  I felt such joy watching it all happen.  What a privilege to be a part of that special day.  I can’t wait to see the photography by the incredibly talented Kirk Mastin and the stunning videography by Ferguson Films.

Then this last weekend was the Bridal Festival at the Spokane Convention Center.  Stella’s Design and I collaborated on one big booth display.  We had quite the fun weekend.  We really enjoyed getting to meet you all.   Thank you to some of my 2013 Brides for coming by to say hello.  I loved seeing you all, and am so excited for your upcoming weddings.

Here’s to the start of another action packed year, I am loving it already.

xoxo,

Rose

Monday Blurb | 2013 Wedding Color Trends

A brand new year with brand new engagements everywhere. I am just in love with this color combo!

Last year I saw lots of soft dusty pink, Muted Lilac, with Creams and Greys. And Gold glitter made a big come back.

This year I think we will see Bright Pink, Robin’s Egg Blue and Silver Glitter. Or at least I hope so, look how fabulous it is!

Just my two cents. Happy Monday

xoxo,

Rose

Welcome Two Thousand and Thirteen!!!

Wow. A new year. I have always loved the feeling of  new beginnings, somehow the start of a fresh year is so satisfying to me.   I don’t really do new years resolutions, because well I already have so many goals, dreams, and ideas going on all the time.   Rather I am taking the bull by the horns, continuing on in my trek to becoming a better Wife, Friend, and Photographer.   That being said, I do like to start the year off with some sort of change.   We stayed up late last night, finishing the photo wall I have been meaning to hang for a while now. I scrounged up some frames and was ready to go!  My husband Pete is so awesome and helped.   However he is an engineer and I an artist, so there may have been some impatience on my end and some meticulous leveling on his end.  We have come to embrace our differences in getting things done, and do things together anyway, even though it can be interesting, we always smile at the end of it.  Our Marriage personified.

This was was my first goal met for 2013.  It does feel small, but accompanied by a deep cleaning of the apartment we are  starting 2013 off in style.  A clean home, fresh plans, and eager motivation.  Yes.  And hey, maybe this WILL be the year to finish that darn quilt…

What are your goals for 2013?

Spokane Engagement Photographer | Ashley and Brian

We got  got so lucky with no rain or snow for this December engagement session with Ashley and Brian. They are so cute and I am just in love with Ashley’s smile.  It was cold, but that makes it more fun to snuggle right? We had fun braving the wind together. Enjoy the rest of the wedding dreaming and planning.

I am looking forward to your beautiful Davenport wedding in July.
